Little Squalicum Park

Off-Leash Areas
The trail to the beach is an off leash area (Little Squalicum Creek/ravine).

The beach is not a designated off-leash area.

Please note:  Little Squalicum Beach from the parking lot beyond Mt. Baker Plywood to a little beyond the pier is Port of Bellingham property and it is an on leash area.  As of June 2008, several people have been ticketed ($100 or more) for allowing their dogs to be off-leash in this area.

It is strongly recommended you DO NOT allow your animals to drink or play in Little Squalicum Creek due to pollution concerns from the Oeser Superfund site.

Map & Directions
There are two areas people can park:
1.  The parking lot just after the bridge where Eldridge turns into Marine Drive.  Trails lead from the parking lot to the trail to Little Squalicum Beach or you can go left and walk to Birchwood Park or the new Squalicum ballfield.

2.  Parking lot just after Mount Baker Plywood at the end of Roeder Avenue.
