Lake Padden Park Off-Leash Areas There are several areas of Lake Padden Park that are off-leash, including: Area 1: The Lake Padden Dog Park  Area 2: The Lake Padden Small Dog Park Area 3:  An Off-Leash Swimming Area   Area 4:  Hiking Trail - The bridle trails in the wooded portion of the Park west of Padden Creek Dam and Ruby Creek entrance into the Lake Area 5:  Hiking Trail -  the trails in the south end of Lake Padden between the golf course power lines and trailhead off Samish Way. Note:  Dogs are required to be on a leash when on the primary trail that circles the lake (the "around-the-lake" trail). Dogs are restricted to entering Lake Padden only at the designated dog swimming area near the playground (Area 3). Map & Directions Areas 1, 2, 3 and 5 can be accessed by parking in the southeastern part of the park, near the athletic fields.  This part of the park can be accessed from the Lake Padden Park East Entrance off of Samish Way between Governor Road and Yew Streets. Turn Right into the Park's East Entrance. Stay to the right, and follow the posted speed limit. Go all the way to the back of the park.  The road ends at the parking lot near the Dog Parks. Area #5:  One end of the the southeast off-leash trail can be accessed by parking in the lot near Samish Way & Galbraith Lane.  (The other end of this trail is located near the back of the Dog Park.)
